Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water supply Perica Ivanoski will promote the Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) on Tuesday in Skopje.

The LPIS is originally used for registration of agricultural reference parcels considered eligible for annual payments of European Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) subsidies to farmers. The LPIS is based on geographical data, cadastre documents and other referent materials.

This integrated system for identification and control is used in all EU member states for calculating the amount of subventions, which have to be paid to farmers. /end/tz
